Limited Gospel

If the Messiah came 2000 years ago and will be returning shortly to set up a kingdom, what is the purpose of the last 2000 years?  Because if it was merely salvation, one has to wonder if we are missing something.  When Yeshua initially sent out His disciples, He told them in Matthew 10:5-6:

5These twelve Yeshua sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: 6But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Yeshua specifically directed the disciples not to go to Samaritans or Gentiles.  The Gospel message was only to go to the house of Israel.  It is perplexing why Yeshua would limit the gospel message to only the Children of Israel.

Yet, it is evident that the Gentiles were affected by Yeshua’s ministry.  There was a Syrophenician woman that sought out Yeshua, Mark 7:25-26.

25For a certain woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of him, and came and fell at his feet: 26 The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation; and she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter.

Yeshua was known throughout the land.  Even the gentiles knew what Yeshua had done.  This woman came to Yeshua requesting that He cast a devil out of her daughter, Mark 7:27.

27But Yeshua said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it unto the dogs.

Yeshua who came to bring salvation called this woman a dog.  And, what did Yeshua mean by, let the children first be filled?  The gospel message was to go the house of Israel, not the gentiles.

Mark 7:28

28And she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children’s crumbs.

She did not argue with Yeshua, it was clear to her what Yeshua meant.  She just wanted a small portion of what Yeshua had to offer.  Yeshua had compassion on her,  Mark 7:29-30.

29And he said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter. 30And when she was come to her house, she found the devil gone out, and her daughter laid upon the bed.

Yeshua healed her daughter, but one has to come to grips with the realization that Yeshua still called her a dog; thereby placing her in a lower class of people.  Yeshua had no intentions, at that time, of offering the Syrophenician woman the Gospel.  For the 3-½ years of Yeshua ministry, the Gospel was basically not offered to the Gentiles.

There were gentiles that died during this time; yet, Yeshua would not permit the gospel to be preached to them.  These people died with little chance of hearing the gospel message.  Does that seem fair?

Yet in John 3:16:

16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Here is what we see in the Bible, Yeshua was never adamant about ensuring everyone got saved.  Yeshua, Himself, restricted the gospel.  Why is this?
