No More Deception

One would think if God so loved the world, He would not limit the gospel.  If salvation was His main purpose, it would make more sense for God to rid the world of the strong delusion and deception so that people could clearly hear the Gospel message.  If you were God, wouldn’t that be what you would do?  Well God does that, Revelation 20:1-2.

1And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

The time frame of these events is the beginning of the millennium.  The reason the devil will be bound for a 1000 years is in Revelation 20:3.

3And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

This is so the devil will not deceive the nations anymore.  The word nations comes from the Greek word ethnos {eth’-nos}(G1484).  It means gentile or heathen.  This is not just a reference to non-Jewish born people.  It is specifically referring to an individual not worshiping the true God.  These were the ones that were deceived.  Since they are heathens, it means that they were never believers.  They were deceived, they did not believe in the Messiah.  Apparently, it is not until the millennium that people can hear the unadulterated gospel message.  It is in the millennium that the Gospel becomes available without limitations.  Will that be too late?  This will not be discussed as part of this study refer to 1000 Year Day of Judgment for that answer.

However, it should be clear that God has a different purpose for the Church Age.  A purpose that precedes salvation being available for all mankind, that is the purpose of this study.  This is important to know, because when one knows God’s purposes they can align their life to be in the perfect will of God.  If all we are doing is trying to get people saved and that is not God’s purpose, one may be missing something.  This can lead to frustration and being outside of the perfect will of God.

In all things, we need to align ourselves with the purposes of God, because God did so love the world.  God tells us in Isaiah 55:8-11

8For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith Yehovah. 9For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. 10For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: 11So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

God’s ways are greater than our ways.  His purposes are always fulfilled.  We should always strive to be in His purposes.
