God’s Grace (Eternal Security)

We are also secure, because of God’s Grace.  God’s Grace is something all together different than how the world deals with us.  There are many dynamics to God’s Grace; but in all cases Romans 11:6 is true.

6And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

God’s grace and our works are totally exclusive of one another.  If we try to mix God’s grace with our works, we get a mixture that is not palatable nor cohesive.  God’s grace in our lives is something that God instills to accomplish His purposes.  Romans 5:21 speaks of the reign of death and reign of grace

21That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Yeshua Messiah our Lord.

As for salvation, righteousness is not what we do.  As Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 1:30-31

30But of him are ye in Messiah Yeshua, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: 31That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

For salvation, Yeshua is our righteousness.

One needs to understand that sin reigns unto death does not apply to the believer.  Death has no more dominion, as Paul discusses in Romans 6:9-11. Refer to Hidden In Messiah.

9 Knowing that Messiah being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. 10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. 11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Yeshua Messiah our Lord.

It is important to understand, what does it mean to reign?  To reign means to rule.

Sin reigns unto death.  It is an absolute.  God wants us to understand the reign of grace.  As sin reigns, so also grace through righteousness unto eternal life.

Just as individuals cannot stop sin’s reign unto death.  It is only through God that we can come out of the reign of sin and death.  As a believer, one who has salvation, one is under a new rule called grace.

Once an individual comes into that new rule, they cannot stop that reign.  Grace rules through the righteousness of Yeshua unto eternal life.  The believers conclusion should be either grace rules or it does not rule.

We as believers need to understand, what the grace of God has done for us.

Colossians 1:13

13Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

Hebrews 10:14

14For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

It is already done Ephesians 4:30

30And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

The born-again individual is sealed by the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption.  That means one cannot be unsealed, because God has delivered the believer from he reign of sin to the reign of Grace.

We are safe in Yeshua, because of the Grace Of God.
