Incentive for Holiness (Eternal Security)

Believers have Eternal Security for many reasons:

• In no wise will He cast us out.

• It is the will of the Father that Yeshua will lose nothing.

• We are hid in Messiah.

• Death no longer has dominion over us.

• Yeshua is the good shepherd.

We are secure

• Because God says so.

• Because of the love of God.
  

• Because of the power of God.

• Because of the new birth, the new creation.

• Because of God’s grace.

• Because of the gift of the son.

• Because of how God deals with our sins.

• Because of the Holy Spirit.

And we are secure in our salvation in the PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE.

Now there are those that oppose eternal security.  The main reason being that they believe eternal security is a license to sin.  The question many ask is, if one teaches that a born again believer is secure, and nothing can separate them from the love of God, why does the believer have to live a holy life?  Can’t one just live like the devil?  After all nothing could happen to them.

Nothing could be further from the truth based on the word of God.  In the discussion Incentive for Holiness, it explains how the security of the believer is their incentive to live a holy life.  The Bible tells the believer to walk worthy of the calling one has in Yeshua Messiah.
