The Love of God (Eternal Security)
The believer is secure, because of the love of God.
John 13:1
1Now before the feast of the passover, when Yeshua knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.
There is something beautiful about Yeshua. In that, Yeshua never leaves us. Yeshua who has loved us, will love us unto the end.
We have a God who is great. He has promised in Hebrews 13:5b:
5Bfor he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Something we need to keep in mind, who are we going to believe? God’s word or some book? Or possibly our senses?
This is why, we need to study our Bibles and understand the word. The apostle wrote in Hebrews 13:8-9:
8Yeshua Messiah the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. 9Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.
We should believe the word and the consistency of God.
Paul states in Roman 8:35:
35Who shall separate us from the love of Messiah? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
None of these can separate us.
Romans 8:37
37Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
Who is a person that is more than a conquer?
It is the individual that the conquer conquers for. We enjoy this because of the love of God.
Finally in Roman 8:38-39:
38For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Messiah Yeshua our Lord.
Not anything, not any creature can separate us from the love of God. And any creature includes us.
It is because of the love of God we are secure. And nothing can separate us from that love.
