The New Birth / Creation (Eternal Security)

We are also secure, because of the New Birth, New Creation.  We are part of the new birth that is not like the old birth.  Yeshua tells us in John 3:6-7:

6That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

1 Peter 1:23:

23Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

We are born out of an incorruptible seed by the word of God.  God states in Genesis 1:11-12:

11And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.  12And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

Seeds yield after their own kind.  When one plants tomato seeds, they should not expect to get apples.  They will get tomatoes.

When incorruptible seeds are planted they do not all of a sudden become corruptible ones.  As believers, we are born not of a corruptible seed.  We are born of an incorruptible seed by the word of God.  It lives forever and ever.  It can never be corrupted.  This seed produces the nature of God in us, in 1 John 3:9:

9Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

Commit in the Greek refers to a continuous habit, to practice.

God plants a seed in us and it does not just pop out of us.  The seed God plants in us remains in us.  That is why Paul wrote in Romans 7:17:

17Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

As a believer, one needs to understand the total separation of the new and the old nature that exists in the believer.  God’s seed remains in the born again believer.  Even though, one may walk in bodies that come from Adam; they are no longer a part of Adam’s creation.

 2 Corinthians 5:17

17Therefore if any man be in Messiah, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

If one believes that they can lose salvation or they can reject it later.  The question one needs to answer is, after becoming a new creation, how does one become lost again?

Some how they would have to be taken out of Yeshua and put you back into Adam.  For those that believe this, study the Bible carefully.  There is not a single scripture to support that process.  The Bible tells us that old things have passed away.  And past away means, it is gone and it is not coming back.

As a born again believer, we are a new creature and old things have passed away.  Because of that, God exhorts us to walk in something else, Ephesians 4:24:

24And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

So there is the new life and there is the old life.  God tells the believer to put on the new one.  It is a new creation.

It is not something we attempt to do or just try to do like putting on lipstick.  It is a new life.  A new life principle that is within us.  We need to learn about the new creation, Romans 6:6-11.  Refer to Hidden in Messiah.

6Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 7For he that is dead is freed from sin.  8Now if we be dead with Messiah, we believe that we shall also live with him: 9Knowing that Messiah being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. 10For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. 11Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Yeshua Messiah our Lord.

Death has no more dominion over the believer.  The believer is dead onto sin and alive unto God.

We are also secure in Yeshua, because we are part of a new birth, a new creation.
