Shemini Atsereth – Yeshua’s Early Years

Yeshua’s Circumcision occurred on Shemini Atsereth.  This can be determined  by starting from Yeshua’s Birth, Luke 2:11-12.

11For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Messiah the Lord. 12And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

This is the birth of Yeshua, which occurred on the 15th of Tishri, the 1st day of Sukkoth.  Then in Luke 2:21

21And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child,  his name was called YESHUA, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb.

The circumcision was performed in accordance with the covenant, Leviticus 12:1-3.

1And Yehovah spake unto Moses, saying, 2Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a woman have conceived seed, and born a man child: then she shall be unclean seven days; according to the days of the separation for her infirmity shall she be unclean. 3And in the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.

All male Israelites were circumcised on the 8th Day, Yeshua was circumcised on the 8th day.

And on the 8th day, He was given the name Yeshua, JEHOVAH IS SALVATION, Philippians 2:9-11.

9Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10That at the name of Yeshua every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11And that every tongue should confess that Yeshua Messiah is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

On the 8th day when Yeshua was circumcised, God exalted Him and gave Him a name above every name.
