Sukkoth in the Millennium

Sukkoth is an eternal festival.  It is discussed by the Prophet Zechariah, Zechariah 14:3.

3Then shall Yehovah go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

This is the battle just prior to the millennium.  Next in Zechariah 14:4:

4And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.

This is referring to the return of Yeshua to Jerusalem or the second coming.  So the time frame of Zechariah 14 is the millennium or the 1000 year reign of Messiah.  Next in Zechariah 14:5:

5And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and Yehovah my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.

When Yeshua returns, He is brings all his saints just like in Revelation 19:14:

14And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

And as in 1 Thessalonian 3:13:

13 So that your hearts may be strong and free from all sin before our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Yeshua with all his saints.

Following these events, Zechariah tells us in Zechariah 14:16:

16And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, Yehovah of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.

During the millennium, we are to observe the Feast of Tabernacles.  Further in Zechariah 14:17-19:

17And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, Yehovah of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain. 18And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith Yehovah will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.  19This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

There is a punishment for those that do not go to Jerusalem to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.  There will be no rain.  No rain refers to no blessings.  There will be plagues.  Finally, God will smite those That do not keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

In the millennium, we will observe the Feast of Tabernacles or we will receive the punishment.

Therefore, if God intends for us to keep the Feast of Tabernacles in the millennium,  wouldn’t it make sense to observe Sukkoth in this lifetime.
