Unto Perfection

The final First Principle found in Hebrews 6:1-2 is Unto Perfection.

1Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Messiah, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,  2Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment (krima).

We are asked to leave the First Principles.  Not to leave them so as to forget them, it is to move on after the foundation has been laid in our lives and go onto perfection.

There is another foundation in 1 Corinthians 3:11:

11For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Yeshua Messiah.

This is a completely different foundation than that of Hebrews 6.  In 1 Corinthians 3:11, God has laid the foundation of His son.  No man can add to it and no man can take away from it.

The foundation in Hebrews 6 is a foundation that God wants to lay within our lives.  Then we can build upon as a new creation unto perfection.
