Ancient of Days

Daniel prophesies of the 2 Messiahs, Daniel 7:13-14.

13I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. 14And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

In this passage, the son of man is ascending.  Daniel states that the son of man came to the Ancient of days.  Since the Ancient of Days is in heaven, this is the ascension of the Messiah.  If He is ascending, therefore; there must have been a first coming.

Again Daniel 7:14

14And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

His dominion is everlasting.  This is similar to what is written in Psalm 110.  There is a prophecy of the Messiah in Micah 5:2.

2But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

Everlasting is a reference to our God, Messiah.  The Psalmist declares the everlasting in Psalm 93:1.

1The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved. 2Thy throne is established of old: thou art from everlasting.

LORD is Yehovah is everlasting, Psalm 145:10-13.

10All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee. 11They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power; 12To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom. 13Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations.

The LORD is Yehovah.  His kingdom that is an everlasting kingdom.  This supports Daniel’s prophecy in Daniel 7:22.

22Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.

It is the Ancient of Days that returns.  How does one make sense of this?  Messiah ascends and Ancient of Days returns?  Simply it is in John 14:9.

9Yeshua saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

Yeshua and the Father are one.  There is a description of the Ancient of Days in Daniel 7:9.

9I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.

There is a similar description when Yeshua returns, Revelation 1:13-17

13And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. 14His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; 15And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. 16And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. 17And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:

Daniel 7:22 is the second coming of The Messiah.  Therefore, there are 2 Messiahs.

Hopefully, the trend is becoming clear.  The 1st Messiah dies and rises to Jehovah.  The 2nd Messiah returns to rule and reign.  The 1st Messiah is called Messiah Ben Joseph.  He suffered for our transgressions.  2nd Messiah is called Messiah Ben Daviyd.  He rules and reigns in an everlasting kingdom.  Two different description, two different purposes, one Messiah.
