Yeshua’s Sacrifice (2M)

Now there are those that claim that the most Holy was the Temple and it was not anointed.  Therefore, the 70th week was not fulfilled and we are still awaiting the fulfillment.  First of all, how do they know or why would they even think that the second temple was not anointed?  It would have been anointed by the Priest at the dedication of the 2nd Temple.

Some claim that Yeshua was supposed to have gone into the Temple after His resurrection.  Why would Yeshua do that?  Their answer, since we do not read that; therefore, there must be a 3rd Temple to anoint.  First of all, Yeshua not being a descendent of Aaron was not allowed into the Temple’s Holy place.  Had Yeshua gone into the Holy Place that would be a sin.  Therefore, Yeshua would not enter the earthly Temple’s Holy place.  Secondly, this belief that the Temple was not anointed fails to understand the context of Daniel’s prophecy.  The truth is Yeshua did anoint the Temple, but not the one on earth.  Yeshua anointed the Temple God designated.

After the final sacrifice occurred, Yeshua’s crucifixion, it is recorded in John 20:16-17:

16Yeshua saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master. 17Yeshua saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

Yeshua tells Mary not to touch Him.  Yet in John 20:27, Yeshua tells Thomas to touch Him.

27Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

1 John 2:2:

2And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

Yeshua’s sacrifice served as the final sacrifice.  After the resurrection, Yeshua went to the heveanlies to put His blood on the mercy seat.

One might ask, what mercy seat?  Hebrews 8:5

5Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.

What was on earth served as an example of what was in the heveanlies.  Hebrew 8:5 is an acknowledgment of Exodus 25:40.

40And look that thou make them after their pattern, which was shewed thee in the mount.

This shows the consistency between the Hebrew and Greek scriptures.  Therefore, if there was a mercy seat on earth, there should be one in heaven, that is the one that matters.    In John 20:16-17, Mary could not touch Yeshua prior to Yeshua placing His blood on the mercy seat.  If she had, that would have defiled the sacrifice.

Hebrews 9:23-24

23It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. 24For Messiah is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

This is where Yeshua anoints the only Temple that matters.  Therefore, the 70th Week of Daniel was fulfilled.  The 1st Messiah was to put an end to sacrifices and offerings.  This is what Yeshua did.  There will not be a third Temple as so many suppose.
