Heaven
The subject of this study is heaven. However, it will not discuss what is heaven, but rather who is and who is not in heaven. Yeshua declared in John 14:1-2:
1Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
Yeshua went to prepare a place for believers. This place is heaven, the Kingdom of God that will come to earth in the future, 1 Corinthians 15:50.
50Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
We must be born of the spirit to go to this heaven. For the Born Again believer, Ephesians 2:5-6:
5Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Messiah, (by grace ye are saved;) 6And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Messiah Yeshua:
It does not state that God will raise us up, it states that He hath. This is past tense. Believers are already there, Colossians 3:3
3For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Messiah in God.
We are hid in Messiah, He is in heaven as such believers are there spiritually.
Hebrews 12:23
23To the general assembly and assembly of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
Written is the Greek word apographo {ap-og-raf’-o}. It means to enter into a register or records, to be enrolled. A born again believers are on the registrar to go to heaven. Peter tells the believer us in 1 Peter 1:4:
4To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
There is a place in heaven, the kingdom of God reserved for believers forever. Heaven is the destination for all born again believers.
