God Says So (Eternal Security)

As a believer, one is secure because God says so.  Yeshua tells us in John 6:37:

37All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

When Yeshua states “In No Wise”; He is stating that no way will anyone who is saved be cast out.

We should ask the question, why is God so willing to take a chance on us?  It is because God is secure in what He does for the believer.  That is why God can state that there is no way God will cast out one who is saved.

Philippians 1:6

6Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Yeshua Messiah:

God has begun a good work in the believer and intends on finishing it

John 6:47

47Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

Note this is a present possession of the believer.  This security is based on John 6:37-39:

37All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. 38For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. 39And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

Think to yourself, do you believe the simple statement of Yeshua?  Yeshua states very clearly that all that the Father gives to Him shall comes to Him.  Yeshua then states that He came to do the will of the Father.  Yeshua seals it by stating, I will in no wise cast you out.  And, He tells us that it is the Father’s will that all that the Father gives Him He will lose nothing.

To me this is where the rubber meets the road.  Think about this, Yeshua makes this definitive statement.  My question is, can we trust Yeshua at His word?  Is Yeshua sinless or not?

If Yeshua is not sinless or we can not trust Yeshua at His word, then Yeshua does not do us much good.  Personally, I believe that Yeshua is absolutely sinless.  I hope you do too.

Or else Yeshua is not much of a Messiah.

Hebrew 4:15

15For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Yeshua being sinless means that when Yeshua states, He will lose nothing, that does not mean nothing except you.  Or nothing except some who were once Christians and left Yeshua and are now living like the world.  It is all inclusive, nothing will be lost that is His  This includes you, who are saved.

How does one know if they were really Christians?  Who are we to decide?

In life as a believer, we are to judge many things however, the one thing we are to never judge is salvation.  Paul tells us in 2 Timothy 2:19

19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Messiah depart from iniquity.

God knows who is saved and who is not.  We need to leave this to Him.  It is unfortunate, that there are believers today that live like the world; however, they are out there in large numbers.

As believers, it is vitally important that we do not judge God’s word based on what we see in the world.  There are a lot of people who make a decision on God’s teachings based upon misinformation from observations.

We must base our understanding on biblical truths from the word of God.
