Hidden In Messiah (Eternal Security)

It should be a basic assumption that Yeshua is sinless.  Most if not all believers would agree with this statement.  If not, Yeshua does not do one much good.  Therefore, when Yeshua makes a statement, it is true.

So, if Yeshua states that He will lose nothing.  He means nothing.  Remember Philippians 1:6:

6Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Yeshua Messiah:

What is Salvation?  Salvation is a work that God begins in the spirit of man.  God states that he has begun a good work in the believer and will finish it.

Hebrews 12:2

2Looking unto Yeshua the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

What should be clear to all believers, salvation is not based on us and it is not based on some future event to occur or not to occur.  It is based on what God did 2000 years ago.

And more than that, Romans 5:10:

10For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

It is much more than being reconciled, we are saved by His life.

Colossian 3:3

3For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Messiah in God.

What does it mean to be hidden with Messiah in God?  God looks at us as believers and not as ourselves.  God looks at us in Yeshua Messiah.

In Romans 6, concerning salvation and having our life hid with Messiah in God, the death of Yeshua and knowing that Yeshua was raised from the dead.

Romans 6:9-10

9Knowing that Messiah being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. 10For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.

Paul tells us here that Yeshua dies no more; therefore, death has no more dominion over Yeshua.  If a believers is hid in Yeshua, how does death have any more dominion over them?

Because in order for one to be lost, death has to some how have dominion over a believer again

Romans 6 tells Messiah being raised from the dead dies no more as such death has no more dominion over him.  If this is true, which it is, Paul tells us in Romans 6:11:

This should seal it for all believers, because God seals it for us.

11Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Yeshua Messiah our Lord.

Think about, what does likewise mean?

It means in the same manner.  So just like Yeshua, death has no more dominion over the believer, because the believer is hid in Messiah.
