Good Shepherd (Eternal Security)

When  one considers salvation, as in all subject, one must remember who Yeshua is.  Yeshua is the Good Shepard, John 10:11.

11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

When Yeshua states something as the good shepherd, we know it is absolute.

As the good shepherd, Yeshua tells us in John 10:27-30.

27My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. 30I and my Father are one.

We need to consider what Yeshua stated here and what kind of a Messiah we serve.

Yeshua stated:

NO MAN IS ABLE TO PLUCK THEM OUT OF MY FATHER’S HAND

We must ask ourselves, are we greater than the Father’s hand?

When speaking of shepherds, Yeshua told us in John 10:12-13:

12But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. 13 The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.

There are those that teach, as if Yeshua was some kind of a hireling and not the good shepherd.

When the devil comes, he starts playing with the sheep.  The shepherd that takes off  because he is afraid of the wolf; that one is a hireling.

My Messiah, Yeshua is not a hireling.  Yeshua stated:

I AM the GOOD SHEPHERD

The reason Yeshua is the good shepherd is because Yeshua said none shall pluck them out of my hand.

Think about this, did Yeshua state none except you or none except the one that jumps out?

NO, Yeshua said none.

Do we believe the simple statements of Yeshua?  Or the doctrines of man?

We need to start to believe God, and not the testimonies of our own feelings or the insecurity of the world.

We come to Yeshua from backgrounds of insecurity.  We do not think the thoughts of God, the thoughts of God are absolutes.  They are not these gray areas that we hear about in the world.  The thoughts of God are solid.

We are secure, because in no wise will He cast us out.  It is the will of the Father that Yeshua will lose nothing.  We are hid in Messiah.  Death NO longer has dominion over us.

Yeshua is the GOOD SHEPHERD.

We are secure because God says so.
