Charis Where to Go to Obtain More

Previously, it was discussed that charis is more that unmerited favor, it is a supernatural working of God in the life of the believer, Ephesians 2:8-9.

8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9Not of works, lest any man should boast.

The believer is saved by grace or charis.  One may call it unmerited favor; however, that does not encompass the entirety of salvation.  It is a supernatural working of God in the life of believers to establish them into eternal life.  It is that supernatural working of God that plants the incorruptible seed into the believer, 1 Peter 1:23.

23Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

The incorruptible seed is the new birth.  It is when the believer’s spirit is born again from above.  It is a supernatural working of God when one changes.  It is not turning over a new leaf, it is the supernatural growing and maturing of the incorruptible seed that was planted inside the believer.

Charis, grace is vital for the daily walk of all believers, 2 Corinthians 12:9.

9And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Messiah may rest upon me.

God said His grace, charis is sufficient.  Yet Paul stated that the power of Messiah rested upon him.  Paul understood that grace, charis was more than unmerited favor.  It is a supernatural working in the life of the believer that God grants us to enables us to walk out this Christian life victoriously.  That is why in 2 Corinthians 9:8:

8And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

God can grant the grace, charis so that a believer can do every good work of the Father.  Without it, the believer will fall trap to their humanity and find themselves helpless.  Confined to their carnal nature.  Charis is the Supernatural working of God we all need.  The subsequent pages discuss where one goes to obtain more charis.
