Salvation By Works

Matthew 25:35-36.

35For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

This is a clue as to why the sheep have a kingdom that was prepared from the foundation of the world. The sheep inherit the kingdom based on what they did, works.  For believers of this present age, salvation is on the basis of faith, Ephesians 2:8.

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Today, one does not earn salvation through works of their own.  However, in the millennium, salvation will be based on works  Yet, it will be nothing to boast about then either.  Ultimately, it will be His grace that allows all to achieve salvation of the spirit, Mathew 25:37-39.

37Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

The sheep are not even knowledgeable of what they have done, Matthew 18:5.

5And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.

When something is done for the benefit of others within God’s will, it is as if it was done for Yeshua.  Believers should know this, but the sheep have no knowledge.  The sheep ask, when did we see you?

Picture this in your mind, the sheep are on the King’s right hand.  The goats are on the King’s left hand.  Yeshua is in the middle, Matthew 25:40.

40And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Yeshua states to the sheep, you have done it to one of the least of my brethren, you have done it to me.  Who are these Brethren?  Is this a whole new group of people?  Hebrews 2:11

11For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,

Brethren are the believers of this present age.  When Yeshua comes back, the brethren, are coming with Him to judge the world, 1 Corinthians 6:2.

2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

It is what the sheep do during the 1000 year reign that is the basis of their salvation.
