Moses

Another person who needs to be discussed is Moses.  There are those that will refer to the transfiguration as proof that Moses is alive in heaven.

Matthew 17:2-3

2And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. 3And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elijah talking with him.

Here is Moses and Elijah speaking to Yeshua.  It has already been established that Elijah did not go to heaven, what about Moses?  Again, if Moses went to heaven that would contradict John 3:13.

13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

Additionally, many take a literal stance on the transfiguration.  Yet, if one goes a little further, to Matthew 17:9.

9And as they came down from the mountain, Yeshua charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.

Yeshua called it a vision.  Vision is the Greek word horama {hor’-am-ah}.  It means sight divinely granted in an ecstasy or in a sleep.  Horama {hor’-am-ah} is in the Bible 12 times.  Every time that it is used, it refers to a supernatural vision.

Moses was in sheol.  Peter, James and John saw a common vision from God
