Divorce

There is a fourth point, Luke 16:18.

18Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery.

Strangely enough, this differs from what Yeshua said in Matthew 5:32.

32But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

In Luke, Yeshua does not speak of fornication.

Yeshua is speaking about two different things.  In Luke, Yeshua is talking about something quite different.  When this is understood.  It accentuates the actual meaning of the parable.  Further, one sees the wisdom of God and why He speaks as He does.

Romans 7:1-3

1 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth? 2For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. 3So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

God is not speaking about a literal husband and wife relationship, Romans 7:4

4Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

Quite simply, the parable of the Rich man and Lazarus tells us that the believer is saved by grace through the Messiah.  If one allows, the gospel message to be compromised and then seek legal justification, they are an adulteress.  This is what Romans 7 is talking about.  It is not marriage between a man and woman.  It is the believers relationship to God.
