Believer’s Judgment Has Passed

It should be understood that believers have already been separated out from nonbelievers, John 5:24.

24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

When one is saved, their salvation is secure.  In writing to believers, Paul referenced fundamental teachings in Hebrews 6:1-2.

1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Messiah, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, 2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

In other translations, these are referred to as the First Principles of Messiah.  Refer to First Principles for further information.  The sixth principle is the doctrine of Eternal Judgment.  To classify Eternal Judgment as a doctrine, signifies that there is more than one judgment.  To state that these are eternal judgments does not mean that they are final, but that they are judgments of the Eternal One.

The judgment of the sheep and the goats is not a judgment that believers are a participant.  As stated in John 5:24, believers have passed from death unto life.  Believers will not experience second death.  This is also stated in Revelation 2:11.

11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

Further, John clarified what is an overcomer in 1 John 5:4-5.

4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Yeshua is the Son of God?

An overcomer is one that is born again.  Refer to Revelation 2:11 & 3:5  Overcomer for additional discussion.  For a believer, the judgment that is occurring with the sheep and goats has passed.  The believer has a present possession of salvation.

In John 5:24, condemnation is the Greek word krisis (G2920), judicial separation.  Believers have been separated out of the Judgment in Matthew 25 of the Sheep and the Goats.  Believers were judged at the Judgment Seat of Messiah.
