No Man Has Ascended

Yeshua even speaks to the subject of who is in heaven, John 3:13.

13And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

According to what many believe, Yeshua must have been confused.  Yeshua forgot about Enoch and Elijah.  This single statement by Yeshua completely refutes what most believe.

The promise of eternal life is for those who are born again, John 3:15-16.

15That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

To go to heaven, one must have eternal life.  To have eternal life, one must confess the name of Yeshua, Romans 10:9.

9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Yeshua, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

If one dies before Yeshua went to the cross, it was not possible to obtain eternal life.  There is no special dispensation in the Bible for those who died prior to Yeshua in this lifetime.  This is why Yeshua stated in Matthew 11:11:

11Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

New Testament Believers have eternal life.  It was not previously available to Old Testament Saints.  Peter declared on the day of Pentecost, Acts 2:34:

34For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, Yehovah said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

Not even King David is in heaven.
